Korean Basketball Game

Sunday night I went to my first Korean professional basketball game! They have their own league here in Korea. It’s no NBA of course, but it was definitely a good time for only $6. It was decent basketball. There were two dunks which were exciting, and a lot of three point shots in the game. The teams are mostly made up of Korean’s, but there are some tall foreigners that play on the teams as well. The stands on our side were completely packed, unlike what you’re seeing on the opposite side.

Chunggyechun "statues"

Last weekend I spent the afternoon with a couple friends from church in an area called Chunggyechun. We came across these guys and decided we had to get our pictures taken with them! This is my friend Cathy in the picture.

Christie loves microphones!

I have finally found a country that will allow me to live out my dream of singing with a microphone. The places are called Noraebangs, and you can find them on every other corner in Korea. They are karaoke rooms with TV’s and microphones that you rent by the hour, and just have a blast singing with your friends! SOOO much fun! We’ve been twice now, and I’m looking forward to going again!
